Samantha and Tamannaah are two of the most popular actresses in contemporary Telugu and Tamil cinema. While both of them have had a dream run at the box-office, the two are slowly venturing into other activities beyond the realm of cinema.
First it was Samantha who founded an NGO named Pratyusha Support through which she has been doing incredible work including raising funds for surgeries of under privileged children and women to even creating awareness about organ donation.
On the other hand, Tamannaah started her own jewellery brand, Wite & Gold few months ago and the actress has gone all out to promote it. Interestingly, it looks like Tamannaah might take a cue from Samantha as far as the social service initiatives are concerned. And the person behind all this is Dr Manjula Anagani, a renowned gynaecologist and obstetrician, who was also conferred with the Padma Shri award for her contribution in the field of medicine. She is also the co-founder of Pratyusha Support and works very closely with Samantha.
Recently, Manjula and Tamannaah met in Hyderabad and had a lengthy discussion. Although neither of them revealed what the conclusion of their meeting was, referring to Tamannaah, Dr Manjula said, “Met another wonderful person with a great heart – hope to do good (sic)." It remains to be seen if their meeting will result in something positive and knowing how closely Samantha and Manjula have worked on various initiatives in the past few years, it might not be surprising if Tamannaah follows suit in near future.
