Indian Rio Olympic champions PV Sindhu, Sakshi Malik, and Dipa Karmakar along with badminton coach Pullela Gopichand were gifted BMW cars by Sachin Tendulkar at a felicitation function held at Hyderabad. President of Hyderabad District Badminton Association, Chamundeshwarnath, presented the luxury cars to the four sportspersons for their outstanding achievements. Sachin Tendulkar was the goodwill ambassador for India at Rio Olympics, and Tendulkar handed over the keys.
Chamundeshwarnath, had earlier announced that he will gift a BMW to Sindhu but later the decision was taken that it would be presented to all four who won laurels for the country. Sindhu won a silver medal in badminton while Sakshi won bronze in women's freestyle wrestling. Dipa Karmakar finished creditable fourth in vault final.
