Telangana government has planned to construct a world class police command and control center on an eight acre site at posh Banjara Hills area. Government has planned to construct the centre with twin towers of 16 floors and 24 floors and helipads atop them. The telangana government had invited building designs from various companies and KCR has approved one of them.

The union ministry headed by TDP leader P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju have rejected the proposal stating that it would not allow the government to build police command control twin towers in Banjara Hills. The union ministry cities that the proposed towers are above a height of permissible limit. The minister said that the height of the twin towers would pose a threat to security at Begumpet airport and also to the flights there.
