The Kapu community leaders expressed their anger against the State government's handling of the indefinite hunger strike by Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham. They demanded that the government should resolve the just demands of Mudragada failing which the community will launch massive protests across the state.
Speaking to the media at a meeting of the Kapu Joint Action Committee (JAC) in Vijayawada, the Kapu leaders declared that they were unanimously endorsing the leadership of Mudragada and the community cutting across parties is ready to extend their solidarity and to agitate.
“Without dragging the issue further, government should handle the issue smoothly. It resembles the state of emergency at Rajamahendravaram which is not acceptable. We will agitate if anything goes wrong with regard to the health of Mudragada,” Koppula Venkat, convener of Kapu JAC, said.
