Kaithal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi kickstarted the BJP's election campaign in Haryana on Tuesday with a visit to Kaithal where he laid the foundation of the Kaithal-Rajasthan border section of the National Highway.
He shared the stage with Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda whom he lauded for the infrastructural growth in the state.
He also called on the citizens to work together to phase out the infrastructure of the past century and take a tough stand against corruption.
He repeated what he said during his Independence Day speech. "Mera kya, mujhe kya attitude has ruined the nation. We need to free the nation from corruption. And I can see that the nation cannot bear injustice any longer," he said.
Haryana goes to polls later this year.
