Restrictions on New Year's Eve

With only hours left to enter the year 2015, Hyderabad is all set to welcome new year by partying hard. If you're one among the party-goers know traffic restrictions before you leave for party. Hyderabad Traffic Police has imposed few restrictions and traffic diversions. These will come into force from 10 PM of Dec 31st to 2 AM of Jan 1st. Besides regular traffic diversions, cops have issued strict restrictions to bars not to serve liquor after 1 AM. 

The traffic diversions are mainly at Necklace Road, Upper Tank Bund and NTR Marg. The vehicles coming from VV Statue and going towards Necklace Road, NTR Marg will be diverted at VV Statue towards Khairatabad and Raj Bhavan Road.

Vehicles coming from BRK Bhavan towards NTR Marg will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar, Lakadikapul, Ayodhya, while traffic from Liberty junction towards Secunderabad will be diverted at the MCH Office y-junction, towards BRK Bhavan, Telugu Talli, Iqbal Minar, Ravindra Bharathi, Lakdikapul and Ayodhya. 

Meanwhile, traffic coming from Khairatabad market and going towards Necklace Rotary will be diverted at Khairatabad towards Meera Talkies lane. The Mint compound lane adjacent to Secretariat will be closed for general vehicular traffic. Vehicular traffic from Nallagutta Railway Bridge will not be allowed towards Sanjeevaiah Park and Necklace Road and will be diverted towards Karbala Maidan or Ministers' Road. Moreover, vehicles coming from Secunderabad will be diverted at the Sailing Club towards Kavadiguda crossroads, Lower Tank Bund, Kattamaisamma temple left turn, Ashok Nagar and RTC crossroads.
