Special Status issue is creating a gap between alliance partners TDP-BJP. On Friday, TDP staged a unique protest in front of the BJP Office in Vijayawada. TDP MLA Bonda Uma appeared with flowers in his ears in an attempt to take a dig at BJP's tall claims during 2014 Poll Campaign. He even cleaned the cars and bikes of BJP Leaders.
Speaking to media, Bonda Uma accused BJP of backtracking on the promises made to people of AP during the bifurcation. 'Only Rs 800 crore were sanctioned for Polavaram Project. We waited for 2 Years as BJP promised Special Status. People of AP can't remain silent anymore. At least now, BJP should fulfill its promises,' he demanded.
Seems like, The situation is going out of control and BJP Leadership need to give some assurance in the near future. If a ruling party MLA accuses BJP of cheating Telugu People, Few more Lawmakers will join the movement sooner or later. Such kind of unique protests would only embarrass the BJP Leaders and tarnish their reputation.
