Indian Army's surgical strikes on Pakistan's terror launch pads across the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) have left the entire nation in patriotic fervor. Ever since the army operation, Indians couldn't stop raving the Army and the Modi government. While the surgical strikes have invited intense political debates over the past couple of weeks, a latest report that has been doing the rounds in national media has revealed an interesting tidbit about the real brain behind these surgical strikes.
A report published in a news daily in Muzaffarpur in Uttar Pradesh revealed that it was the Samajwadi Party's chief Mulayam Singh Yadav who first coined the surgical strikes idea. Appatently, Modi took Mulayam's advise before giving his nod to the Army on conducting surgical strikes. This interesting tidbit was unearthed after an SP leader named Shamsher Mailk put up posters across Muzaffarpur saying that it was Mulayam's stint as a Defence Minister and his vast knowledge on various ways to conduct surprise attacks on Pakistan that came in handy for the Indian PM.
