Following the solar eclipse on Wednesday, the hill shrine of Tirumala will remain closed from 8.30 pm on March 8 till 10 am on March 9. As per the Hindu almanac, the solar eclipse will commence on March 9 by 5.47 am and conclude by 9.08 am. But as a usual practice, the temple doors will be closed six hours prior to eclipse. So the temple doors will be closed for almost 13 hours from March 8 by 8.30 pm and will be reopened on March 9 after 10 am. Till this time there will be no darshan.
TTD has cancelled Sahasra Kalasabhishekam in connection with the eclipse on March 9 while other morning sevas will be performed in Ekantham. The pilgrims are requested to make note of the timings and act accordingly.
