The Telangana Congress leaders on Tuesday held a silent demonstration at Martyrs' Memorial in Gun Park in protest against the criticism on TPJAC chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram by the TRS leaders including some ministers.
TPCC General Secretary Dr. Dasoju Sravan, Telangana Youth Congress president Anil Kumar Yadav, former MLA Srinivas Reddy and other leaders participated in the protest in support of Kodandaram. The Congress leaders demanded that the TRS leaders tender an unconditinal apology for criticising Kodandaram. They alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has been working as a tool into the hands of Andhraite contractors. They warned the TRS government of massive protest if remarks against Kodandaram are not withdraw.
Meanwhile, addressing separate press conferences TPCC Vice-President Dr. Mallu Ravi and Deputy CLP leader Dr. T. Jeevan Reddy expressed their total support to Kodandaram. They said that the role played by Kodandaram and his team in the formation of Telangana could not be ignored and KCR has been trying to finish off TPJAC only to keep himself and his family in the limelight. He said if the Chief Minister was really honest, then he should reply to the issues raised by Kondandaram instead of intimidating him using his ministers and leaders.
