The Andhra Prabha Daily management has decided to support the YSR Congress Party. `Andhra Prabha' is the oldest Telugu daily, and its support to the YCP would be considerable, observers say. The Chairman of the group, Mutta Gopalakrishna, and his son, Sashidhar, are expected to join the YCP at a ceremony in Kakinada, where the YCP is holding a youth rally, on Wednesday.
YS Jaganmohan Reddy, YCP leader, is expected to admit the Andhra Prabha family at a ceremony in Kakinada by presenting them with shawls. Mutta was minister in the NTR Cabinet. He later joined the Congress at the time of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, and was elected as MLA. In the subsequent election he was denied the Congress ticket. He contested the poll as an independent and lost the poll. Subsequently, Mutta kept away from politics. Now he has decided to join the YCP.
