Ever since romantic drama 'Aur Devadas' got into pictures, speculations have engulfed that south seductress Kajal Agarwal is going to play the much hyped vintage prostitute role, Chandramukhi, while Rahul Bhose and Richa Chadda are playing other two lead roles, Devdas and Parvathi. This Bolywood flick is being directed by acclaimed Sudhir Mishra.
Given that sizzling in such roles will acquire immense recognition and bigger opportunities, Kajal thought of starring in it without worrying about her south career. Things don't go smooth for an actress who wants to make most of her time anyway.
Forcing Kajal to opt out of the hyped prostitute role, her date-clashes played spoilsport. While 'Aur Devdas' needs her dates from September, Kajal has allotted bulk dates already for NTR's Nenorakam and Danush's untitled Tamil flick around same time. At the moment she is busy wrapping Charan's Govindudu Andarivadele.
Kajal was quite determined to zero on that Bollywood opportunity at any cost, but the mouth watering pay-packets offered by South producers made her drop the idea, says a source. Whatever it maybe, she will be now replaced by either Aditi Rao Hydari or Chitrangada Singh
