Who could forget Indian farmer Sarabjeet Singh who was lodged in Pakistani prison for 23 years. After he crossed the border one-night in a drunken state, Pakistani police took him into custody and accused that he is spy. He was given capital punishment but never hanged. Last year he was beaten to death when the news of Pakistani terrorist Kasab's hanging spread.
Now, Sarabjeet's sister Dalbeer Kaur is writing the whole story of 23 years and the three times she met her brother in Pak jails. She wants her plight to be reached to international audience. Director Omung Kumar who made Mary Kom earlier is now making this film titled “Sarabhjeet". Big news is that world class diva Aishwarya Rai agreed to play the role of Dalbeer Kaur on silver screen.
