Niveda Thomas, who was last noticed in laugh riot Romans, has finished the shoot for Santhosh Nair's Money Ratnam, where she plays Fahadh Faasil's fiance. Nazriya, now Fahadh's real life wife, was supposed to do the role initially. Niveda, who plays the character of a social worker in the film, says, she enjoyed working with Fahadh again after Chappa Kurishu, where she played Vineeth Sreenivasan's love interest.
"The name of my character is Pia and she is a bold girl, a social worker who is all out to serve society. In the film she is organising an event; and it is all about the trouble she takes to execute her plans and the problems she faces," she says. However, Money Ratnam is not a hero-heroine kind of film, she clarifies. "It shows the happenings within a span of 24 hours, about a journey which the characters undertake to get a particular job done, and how that journey changes their lives." Niveda is also doing a Telugu film named Juliet where she plays the title role, that of Juliet. "Juliet is a rom-com, and I play a strong minded girl again."
So why is she not seen in more Malayalam films despite the few films she did being hits? "Of course I would love to do Malayalam films since the Malayalam industry is in a phase where it is bringing out some of the best movies of all," she says.
Meanwhile, the actress is currently shooting for Papanasham, the Tamil version of Drishyam, where she plays Kamal Haasan's daughter.
