In his recent interview, Shankar shared 'I' was made with a budget less than Rs 100 crore. The tough taskmaster went on to say he is someone who makes sure every single rupee that's spent on the movie could be seen on the screen and would never prefer what is necessary for a movie.
Responding on the rumors about 'I' Budget, The ace filmmaker said few people always wanted to exaggerate how much money was spend in his movies.
Of course, These speculations have helped Producer Oscar Ravichandran in a big way. It helped him pocket huge sum in the form of pre-release business. The Telugu version alone fetched Rs 30 crore and Tamil version including Satellite has been sold out for Rs 100 crore.
