Anaika, who made her debut in RGV's Satya 2, is eagerly awaiting the release of her second film, Kaaviya Thalaivan in which she's paired opposite Siddharth. "It's been a while since I've shot for that film, but every moment I spent on the film's sets was memorable. I've been a fan of Siddharth since the days of Rang De Basanti and it's a privilege to have worked with him. The icing on the cake is that I'm part of an A R Rahman's musical. I couldn't believe my luck," Anaika says.
She's playing the role of a princess in this story, which is set in pre-independence era. The actress is all praise for director Vasanthabalan, who, apparently, kept pushing her to bring out the best in her. "He was very particular about the way I deliver my dialogues and Tamil was an alien language for me. I've the habit of mugging up dialogues and make a song out of the lines, but I just couldn't do it for this film. I think I managed it somehow since I love learning new languages," she laughs.
Ask her why she hasn't signed any Telugu film yet, she confesses, "As a matter of fact, I'm on the verge of signing a film in Telugu. I did get plenty of offers, but I wanted my second project to be a big one. I've no regrets for waiting so long to grab a plum offer."
