Director Krish, who carved a niche for himself and is known for churning out sensible films, is in contention to direct Akhil Akkineni's second movie. Sources say Nagarjuna has approached Krish and requested him to prepare a subject for his son.
Krish responded positively to Nag's proposal and is currently busy working on the script, says the buzz. If everything goes as planned, K Raghavendra Rao will bankroll this project. The Akkineni scion's debut film Akhil has become a colossal flop and received poor reviews for his performance from the audiences and critics alike.
The distributors and the exhibitors of the film are losing to the tune of about 70% of their investment for the VV Vinayak directorial. “Akhil was a huge loss for its distributors. A worried Nag is trying to avoid further damage and is busy setting the right combination for the second outing of his younger son," quips a source. An official announcement on Akhil-Krish project is expected soon.
