While actresses tend to be on a diet to stay in shape, for the past three months, Anushka has been eating quite a lot, skipping her regular diet. We hear that the actress, who used to work out twice a day, has also not gone to the gym all these months. All this because she wants to put on weight for the role of an obese woman in her upcoming film Inji Iduppazhagi. We hear Anushka has put on 15kg weight so far and will be adding on even more kilos for the film, which stars Arya in the lead and is being directed by KS Prakash.
Kanika Dhillon Kovelamudi, who has written the film's story, says, "Anushka is actually very happy these days. She is having a great time eating whatever she likes. She is on a high carbohydrate diet and has been skipping her workout routine as well. She has already put on 15 kilos for the film. However, while she has been having food without any restriction, she ensures that those foods are healthy as well."
Inji Iduppazhagi is about women's size zero fixations. Anushka is playing the role of an obese woman in the film. Right now, the team is canning portions involving Anushka's hefty look and later, the actress will have to lose weight for a slim look in the film. The team is planning to take a break and resume shoot to give time for the actress to lose weight.
