After noted producer-cum-distributor Sai Korrapati had bagged the Ceded rights of Balakrishna Nandamuri prestigious 100th film 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' for a record price, another senior distributor has now acquired the film's Nizam rights.Nithin's father Sudhakar Reddy, who has distributed several blockbusters in Nizam, has reportedly acquired the Nizam rights of Balayya's GPS. A decent sum was heard to have been shelled out for this deal. The news was disclosed by Nithin himself by tweeting, “Happy 2 announce tht v vl b distributing d prestigious N.B.K gari 100 film GAUTAMIPUTRA SATAKARNI 4 Nizam area..thanku krish n rajeev garu."
Expectations on 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' are getting multifold with acute judgmental senior distributors bagging its rights. Acclaimed filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi's track record, Balakrishna's fan base and the historical subject are encouraging distributors to shell out handsome sums to grab the rights. Chirantan Bhatt of 'Kanche' fame is scoring music for this film having Shriya Saran as the queen of Satakarni and Hema Malini as King's mother. The historical film based on the life of renowned Amaravati king is slated for release for Sankranthi 2017.
