When megastar Chiranjeevi was actively part of films, he used to charge the highest remuneration among his contemporaries. Now, as the legendary actor is making his comeback after a sabbatical of eight years, he still seems to be at the top of the table of remunerations.
The discussion of Chiru's remuneration for 'Khaidi No.150' is unnecessary as the film is produced by his son Ram Charan only. Moving to 'Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu (MEK)' season 4, which is the first TV show to be hosted by megastar, interesting news about the actor's remuneration is circulating.
Reportedly, Chiru is being paid a whopping Rs 10 lakh per episode to host MEK4. This is by far the highest remuneration offered to any Telugu actor or star for hosting a TV show. Akkineni Nagarjuna, who hosted the first three seasons of MEK was reportedly paid Rs 3 Crore for 40 episodes of the first season. It is equal to over Rs 7 lakh per episode. Even after the hike in remuneration for next seasons, Nag reportedly didn't touch the Rs 10 lakh per episode mark.
Organizers of MEK are heard to be confident that Chiru's first TV stint will attract TV Viewers big time so they feel the high remuneration reasonable.
