YVS Chowdary has been going through a lean patch since the past decade. He hasn't delivered a single success after 'Devadas'. While the filmmaker burnt his hands with Raviteja-Gunasekhar's 'Nippu', He landed in a financial crisis during the making of 'Rey'. Post the release of his last movie, All of problems only multiplied with a disastrous result.
It was during the making of 'Rey', YVS sought loan from Andhra Bank on the 'Bommarillu' theatre he owned in Gudiwada. As he was unable to repay the loan, Bank Officials on Thursday seized the theatre.
YVS Chowdary is a protege of K Raghavendra Rao. He made his directorial debut with 'Seetharamaraju' starring Nagarjuna & Harikrishna. He had a successful track record with films like Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo, Seethaiah and Devadas. YVS's downfall began with 'Okka Magadu', then 'Saleem' & 'Rey' followed.
