director Shankar's most anticipated film 'I' is all set for a grand release across Tamil Nadu and in other countries for this Pongal. However, Telugu version of 'I' is likely to be delayed. According to our reports, Tollywood producers had a heated discussion at film chamber regarding the release of ‘I’ along with other Telugu films. There is a specific rule which states that dubbing movies are not allowed to release in the festive seasons, especially when there are straight films that are ready for release.Taking this rule into consideration, Tollywood producers are demanding that the chamber shouldn’t allow ‘I’ to be released for this Sankranti.
On the other hand, there is another group, which bought the distribution rights of ‘I’ across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They are stating that only ‘Gopala Gopala’ will be releasing for this Sankranti and there will be a gap of 5 days between that film and ‘I’.Gunasekhar’s ‘Rudramadevi’ and NTR’s ’Temper’ have already announced that they won’t arrive for Sankranti. So, these distributors are requesting the concerned people to give them a green signal for the release. As of now, there is no clarity about the release of ‘I’ in Telugu for Sankranti.
