Thattathin Marayathu, the 2012 superhit Malayalam flick directed by Vineeth Srinivasan, is going to be remade in Tamil. Sources say that director Jawahar of Yaaradi Nee Mohini fame will be wielding the megaphone for the Tamil version and that music director GV Prakash will be composing the music for the film.
Interestingly, Isha Talwar, whose last outing in Tamil was Thillu Mullu with Shiva, is reprising her role in the Tamil remake of the film too.
Confirming the news to Chennai Times, director Jawahar says, "Yes, we are remaking Thattathin Marayathu, with certain changes to suit the local audience. We are set to begin shooting for the film from September 10 onwards. We will be shooting for the film in and around Coimbatore and Pollachi. Isha Talwar, who played the lead role of Aisha in the original, will be the playing the lead character in Tamil too. The male protagonist will be essayed by a newcomer." The camera will be cranked by Vishnu Sharma and M. Thiyagarajan, who worked with Jawahar in Uthamaputhiranwill be the editor.
