Although Temper received accolades for its boldness and sincerity, the film failed to give the much needed blockbuster to NTR.
The film is yet to breakeven after the third weekend and trade expects Temper to incur minor losses (about 5%) to its worldwide theatrical valuation.
Temper is definitely better than previous two duds of NTR (Rabhasa and Ramayya Vastavayya), but it didn't fulfill the long awaited dreams of Young Tiger fans either.
At this point NTR is gearing up for his next film directed by Sukumar, who is not known for commercial films.
Sukumar is an intelligent filmmaker and his films mostly cater to classes and youth. NTR's core strength lies in the mass centers and he cannot expect to hit bull's eye without pleasing the B and C center audience.
This is a risky move for NTR to gamble with Sukumar, who is also under tremendous pressure after the debacle of 1 Nenokkadine.
This film is all set to start rolling from 5th of March. We hear that NTR is going to appear in an all new avatar in it. Sukumar is known for sketching eccentric characters for his lead actors and this film may not be different from his usual style.
Sukumar might not shy away from leaving his signature style for the sake of NTR's mass image. Although the film's commercial aspect seems questionable, we have to admit that it is definitely grabbing some curious eyeballs.
