Over the past couple of years, there has been an increasing craze for Tollywood films in North India. Most of our star heroes' films are being dubbed into Hindi and are releasing across North and some films are becoming huge blockbusters on TV. The craze has increased multifold especially after the historic success of Baahubali.
Cashing in on this ever growing craze first is Stylish Star Allu Arjun's action drama in Boyapati Srinu's direction, Sarrainodu. The film's North Indian distribution rights fetched a record 60 lakhs, a first ever offer from North Indian trade circles in Tollywood's history.
Sarrainodu's hero Allu Arjun is a popular actor in the north as he has been the face of Hero MotoCorp's latest bike ad. Also, Race Gurram's Hindi version Dhoom 4 is a huge hit on TV and YouTube. Even the film's heroine Rakul is a known face among Bollywood fans through her film Yaariyaan, adding to the craze altogether.
