Your passion for competing a beauty pageant can take you far - also to jail! Shawna Lynn Palmer was arrested for collecting Worker's compensation fraud on a foot injury while she was contesting for Miss Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix beauty pageant at the same time.
Authorities discovered the reality through her social media posts. Palmer posted videos and photos of herself at pageants and other events on Facebook. Investigators said that the posts on social media helped them make the case.
Palmer was working as a clerk at a Stater Brothers in Riverside when she claimed she fractured a toe on the job. Though Palmer's father rejected the charges, if convicted, Palmer might have to spend a year in jail.
