Former Miss TN directing a 'Baby Doll'


Hashika Dutt, former Miss Tamil Nadu who did just four films in Kollywood is turning director with a bilingual entertainer titled 'Baby Doll'. She is playing the lead role in the film which was launched on Sunday in Hyderabad. Speaking to scribes she said “I was always passionate about being at the helm of a movie. I did a course in filmmaking at in Bengaluru and worked as an associate director in many films. While I was shooting for a Telugu film, I met producer Khuddus Basha and narrated the script of 'Baby Doll' to him, and he was impressed."

On debutante in her youthful entertainer she says “The movie has equal space for both the hero and heroine. Though I approached Nani to play the protagonist, he could not allocate dates due to his prior commitments. After considering a few others, Manas came on board as he fitted the role perfectly". Film revolves around how boys dream about future wife and Harshika will be seen as an outspoken college student. Film stars Bhagyaraj, Poornima, Sithara, Samudhrakani, Brahmanandam, Motta Rajendhran and Kota Srinivasa Rao in important roles.
