The best way to ensure that you do not fall victim to the sly fingers of a pickpocket is to always put your wallet inside your pocket horizontally - with the opening flap pointing downwards. Usually men tend to put the wallet vertically with the opening flap pointing to either side. The reliability of this trick is guaranteed by the famous comedy pickpocket entertainer Bob Arno himself.
When you call customer care for any product or service you use, you are first asked whether you are a new customer or an existing customer. ALWAYS click the option for new customer if you want to save precious minutes instead of holding the line for a long time. Companies prioritize getting more business from new customers than handling issues of existing customers - and hence tend to receive the calls from the former quicker than the others.
Whether you are an office nerd working in the IT, a gamer with a lot of components plugged into his system or just another average Joe who wants some order in the world - this life hack is supremely useful. Attaching binder clips on the edges of your desk and keeping individual cords inside them not only keep them ready for your use - but also saves up time detangling them every single time.
For people who commute regularly via public transport, this comes as a heaven-sent hack. They know how difficult it is to get a seat - and how doubly difficult it is to keep oneself balanced when they have to stand in a bus that brakes suddenly after running at quite a speed. People tend to lose momentum - and fall ungainly on the next person. Standing in a T-shape as shown in the photo can help you keep your balance. With one foot aligned towards the direction of travel, and the other one behind it perpendicular to the direction - what happens is that when the bus suddenly stops, the weight of the body gets shifted from one foot to the other, keeping you balanced. With this, you will never fall in a moving bus again.
Do you usually have to chill drinks all of a sudden - but would rather not use ice and dilute the drinks? The trick is to freeze grapes and then put them in the drinks. The drinks are chilled immediately without any ice melting into them. Conversely, if you are making fruit or coffee beverages - and do not want to dilute them by adding ice later, simply freeze some of the drink and use the frozen cubes in the drink. You keep them chilled - and no dilution!
Clogged shower heads is not a big deal in India - given the quality of water supplied by our municipal bodies and sometimes the poor infrastructure. The usual way to go about it is to use a pin to prick the pores and get them unclogged - which is time-consuming and not always 100% effective. Next time, tie a plastic bag full of vinegar on the shower head - so that the pores are submerged in the liquid. Keep it that way overnight - and wake up next morning to find a fully functioning shower head. The vinegar softens the hard water that collects inside the pores.
So many times we take beautiful scenic shots when we go vacationing - only to have it spoilt by a few random people peppered in the photo here and there. You can get a pristine, no-people photo in no time by using Photoshop. Here's how.
· Click about a dozen photographs, at the interval of a few seconds, of the scene you want to capture. Save them into your computer.
· Open Photoshop and go to File > Scripts > Statistics.
· For the stack mode select Median and check Attempt to Automatically Align Source Images.
· Click Browse and select the photos you clicked.
· Photoshop will now process the images, removing all changing bits while keeping the static background intact.
· Whatever else needs to be fixed can be done using the Clone tool.
